When did you start your business?

We formed the company in 2013.  It took us about a year to find the right location and complete the planning process with the City of Lakewood.  We will be open to the public in early 2015.

What made you decide to open this business?

We got involved with the firearms community because of a break-in experience we had while living in Atlanta.  As we went to defend ourselves against an intruder with a baseball bat, we realized we needed a more robust home defense plan – which included a firearm.  We purchased our first pistol, took a few classes, and promptly fell in love with target shooting.  Many years later we moved out to Colorado to be closer to family and couldn’t find a comfortable place to enjoy indoor shooting on the West side of Denver.  Since we both came from service industries, we realized there was not only a geographical opportunity here, but an opportunity to bring a customer-centric business model to the firearms industry.

What do you enjoy most about serving your customers, clients or patients?

Our job is to maximize our customers’ recreational experience in a safe environment - as well as to help them learn valuable (and oftentimes fun) skills.  What could be more gratifying than creating enjoyment and providing learning opportunities?  We love the people we get to know and what our facility stands for – our rights as American citizens.
